Logline: "A fiery Cornish wrestler battles the struggles of life and his next opponent as he seeks to support family and a future. Fate, however, has a plan. He comes from the east, calls himself The Dragon and could be the road to salvation or a final fall from grace."

Story: Carved from the untamed Cornish landscape where the mists hang low and the waves, relentless, meet the ancient gnarled faces of time-beaten cliffs, George and the Dragon emerges.

A story drenched in classic underdog tropes, a story carrying the scars of life, family, and the desire of one man to find his place in the world. A story about Cornish Wrestling and the many-flavoured characters that inhabit its landscape. The light and the dark, the struggle and the strife, dreams and nightmares. A story about fighting to quench the thirst for victory against impossible odds. A story about riding the storm and finding peace.

George and the Dragon has roots deep in the Cornish landscape and a firm foothold in true events of this great county’s historic tradition. It takes us from the sweat-soaked clay pits to the bright lights of the auditorium as George fights his battles inside and outside the ring. Battles for family, to be the provider. Underground scraps for food on the table and a flame in the hearth. Competition bouts to rise through the ranks. And a solid gaze on the ultimate prize, twenty-seven years unbeaten Yukio Tani – The Dragon.

We have a journey thrown wildly off-course on the back of a fight gone awry. A life cast in shade and the fight to break free from the darkness and into the light.

We have a film that follows a man on a mission to overcome his greatest foe, who ultimately must overcome life itself.
