Actual Footage of George Bazley/Courtesy British Pathe

Whilst watching the footage from British Pathe a figure looked familiar in two of the bouts. Short and stocky with a distinctive haircut. Could it be? I investigated further and went over and over the footage making screenshots at various points to see if I could get a clearer picture. The images are grainy but as I did screengrab after screengrab I could see that it was him. I sent them to my Brother and my Mother and my Mum immediately said that is Grandad! My Brother Jeremy subsequently confirmed. It was an exciting moment. I had discovered a buried treasure in our Family History. My only wish is that my Dad could have seen this footage but then he probably saw it for real!
